Cheltenham Wedding

Wedding photography in Cheltenham at No 131, Cheltenham Town Hall and Dunkertons.

Usually I try to keep blog posts to 30 images but I really didn’t know where to stop with this one. Sarah had been a bridesmaid at a wedding I shot in 2024 and booked me for her own wedding very soon afterwards. Here are some of the images shot on a mix of film and digital.

Getting ready at No 131 in Cheltenham

No 131 is such a great choice for bridal prep, its rooms are stylish, dark and really nicely appointed. Sarah and Dan had a suite and chose to get ready together with Sarah’s bridesmaids. Because the rooms are dark, I wanted to stick to as much natural light as possible. I adore window light for this type of prep and tried to make the most of it, encouraging Sarah and Dan to stand near the window while they finalised their outfits.

We then walked across the park to Cheltenham Town Hall for the wedding ceremony, which is also a really lovely venue. It has really nice architecture and outdoor space, surrounded by Georgian townhouses which add to the style. We shot confetti and some group photos here before moving on to Dunkertons.

Dunkertons is a huge place, it’s sort of a pub but it has street food and loads of different areas. We had a few private rooms with a private section of the bar, so it really felt like a great venue for a party. This is where the party started to get well lubricated and the fun really started, Dan gave a great speech throughout which Sarah added so much comedy, I was laughing pretty much the whole way though, especially when Honey, their pup, got a mention. You really just had to be there.
