Not the usual. Observational wedding photography for analogue lovers
Bristol Film Wedding Photographer
I’m Tom Brossard, a Bristol based film and digital wedding photographer with a unique and bold approach to documenting weddings. I pursue my art with relentless creativity and ambition which keeps me really passionate about what I do.
I am really fortunate to have clients who give me the artistic licence to follow my intuition, free from the restraints of cliche and awkwardly staged images. You won’t find many couples kissing under veils or flat-lays, but you will find light, laughter, nostalgia and emotion.
It’s hard to define one’s own style, I’ll let you be the judge of that. My couples often remark how relaxed I made them feel and how easy and fun I made the day.

Some reviews from 2026 weddings so far
“We used Tom for our wedding photography and he was perfect - really friendly and relaxed approach but with seemless results. Would highly recommend!”
Carrie and Jack“Tom is a genuinely lovely guy and made us feel completely at ease from the start, which was invaluable on such an emotional day. He was super friendly and professional, and we loved that he was very proactive and knew where he needed to be at all points of the day, as well as catching loads of beautiful off the cuff moments.
We chose Tom for his candid, almost documentary style photos, the photos themselves are fantastic. They feel natural, full of character, and really capture the atmosphere of the day. It's obvious how much Tom cares about his craft. We ended up with loads of great film shots, which added something really special.”
Nicola and Greg
“Tom was incredible from beginning to end. He instantly put me at ease, embraced every suggestion I had, and collaborated brilliantly with all our suppliers. The photos are stunning — truly more beautiful than I imagined. I recommend him wholeheartedly.”

Yes. While my focus is documentary and candid moments, I know family photos matter, try to keep your list to around 5-6 groups in total so you can get back to celebrating with your friends quickly

We'll steal 15-20 minutes (more if you want it), usually during a quiet moment like golden hour, for just the two of you. I'll guide you loosely rather than pose you stiffly — the aim is natural movement and connection, not stiff smiling at the camera.
-
Yes — particularly when the light is low and for a more editorial, reportage style.

I understand the concern, I have been shooting film since 1996 and I always use a trusted local lab for development (your film will never go in the mail before development). I have never had an issue, but I carry backup cameras just in case.

Documentary photography focuses on capturing real, unscripted moments as they happen, rather than a long list of posed shots. Expect authentic emotion, movement, and storytelling over stiff, formal portraits.

I aim to complete your gallery within 8 weeks and typically a full day gallery is between 500-800 photographs

Absolutely — just ask and I'll send over a couple of full galleries so you can see how a whole day is covered, not just the highlight reel.

Wedding packages start from £2k but get in touch to receive my price guide. I don’t charge for UK travel. If you are getting married in Spain or New York City, talk to me about some extra special deals.

Film is included in the price for your day, I don’t specify a number of rolls and there is no extra charge (unless you want Polaroids too). I shoot film where I feel it will be artistically complimentary to your gallery. Get in touch and I’ll send you a full pricing guide.
